What is a plug ear?
Have you ever wondered what a plug ear is? The word plug is English and translated means as much as peg, with a plug ear this peg goes through the ear, more precisely through the earlobe. And of course this peg is not just any piece of wood, but plugs are a form of piercing jewelry for your lobes and are made in just the right size. That means they fit for the stretch of your piercing canal, for example if it is 10mm in diameter, then the plug also has a diameter of 10mm in the middle. And a plug ear would look strange if the plugs stuck out far on either side, so plugs should only be about high enough to stick out just a little in the ear. Too short or too long will not work or the plug ear will not look nice. A plug is held in place in the plug ear canal via various shapes, for example, by having the front and back wider than the center, which is in the canal. This shape is called double flared. Then there is the possibility that both sides carry small edges that prevent slipping out, this shape is called ribbed. Another possibility is to prevent slipping out on one side with rubber rings, the other side is then usually wide and the front decorative side. This form is called single flared and is suitable for a beginner plug ear, because here you do not have to get a rim or wider side through the stitch channel. Now the question remains: what is the point of a tunnel plug? Well this kind of ear jewelry is trendy, young and looks cool and tough and that's why our customers choose to stretch their earlobe and decorate it with plugs. Those who find flesh tunnels more beautiful are then adorned with a tunnel ear, here the hole in the ear remains visible.
