Pure natural jewelry – our stone tunnels
Stone tunnels are
flesh plugs and tunnels made of genuine stone. The stone is carefully processed and polished to a very smooth finish, eliminating any sharp edges and ensuring comfortable wear. Natural stone is characterized by its distinctive grain, as no two stones are exactly alike; the color and grain vary. Particularly beautiful examples of stones with unique grain patterns include turquoise, malachite, and lapis lazuli. Some stones exhibit iridescent effects, displaying different colors depending on the viewing angle. This is true for tiger's eye, opal, moonstone, and labradorite. Stone tunnels showcase these beautiful colors, effects, and textures to their best advantage.
Double flared or single flared?
Stone tunnels are similar to wooden ones in that the double-flared shape is more difficult to insert, but it sits securely and firmly in the piercing channel. The single-flared shape is easier to insert, but requires a rubber ring to ensure the plug stays securely in the ear. As organic materials, stones allow the skin to breathe, preventing unpleasant odors. Ribbed shapes are also available. Stone tunnels are somewhat heavier than horn or wood, which can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on personal preference. Stone might also feel smoother in the ear than wood, and therefore a bit more slippery. It's essential to ensure a good fit that sits securely in your ear and doesn't slide around. Whether you choose a strong double-flared shape or a
rubber ring is entirely up to you.
Beauties made of stone
Jewelry with stones is very common in our collection and can be found in almost every category, while jewelry made entirely of stone, like our stone tunnels, is rare. This means the stone is much more prominent than if it were only used as an inlay. However, jewelry with genuine gemstones can be combined beautifully with our stone tunnels. For example, you can find rings,
bracelets , pendants, necklaces, and various piercings for the nose, lip, and navel featuring turquoise to complement your turquoise plug. When choosing stone tunnels, pay attention to the double-flared shape, as stone is more slippery than wood, and you don't want to lose them. Contact with water is not a problem. Stone plugs display a beautiful, natural grain; each stone is unique. While stones are robust, we still recommend avoiding dropping tunnels and plugs from a great height. Our selection of stone tunnels will be expanding soon, so it's worth checking back regularly.
