The masks fall, the faces become free again - the temperatures rise and belly-free is absolute fashion trend - all this has effects on the piercing trend 2022.

Without a mask, certain piercings such as cartilage piercings on the edge of the ears or septum piercings also heal much easier. That means if you want to follow this trend, now is the time to do it in summer.

Show me your belly

Another piercing trend 2022 is ideal for the summer, especially since 2022 is worn a lot belly-free: the belly button is therefore clearly visible and so the belly button piercingcelebrates itsgreat comeback. In the 90s and 2000s, the navel piercing was the must-have and many stars proudly presented it. After that, the demand dropped, but this changed this year: now the belly button piercing is an absolute piercing trend 2022 and very much in demand.

The nose remains trendy piercing place

Also an old acquaintance is the septum piercing: it is still in and thus also counts as a piercing trend 2022. Instead of rings, chains are also popular right now. Despite more complicated healing by a face mask, the run on this piercing is big. Momentarily almost without mask obligation would be therefore a good time for piercing.

Another nose piercing is in great demand in 2022: the nostril piercing in a modified form: as a high nostril piercing it is piercing trend 2022. In contrast to the classic nostril piercing this nose piercing sits a little higher on the nostril. It is also often combined with the old nostril piercing and/or the septum piercing and the nose jewelry is coordinated, this is also very popular this year.

The piercing fashion trend in 2022 is focused on the ears

Let's move on to the ear - piercings on the ear are the piercing trend in 2022 and this in a wide variety of forms: still super popular are the curated ears, where the ears are pierced in different places, often asymmetrically, so the left ear has different piercing points than the right. Then each ear is transformed into a work of art by matching the different piercing jewelry pieces, yet still very diverse. Beads, crystals, chains and different materials can be used. One particular form of curated ears in 2022 are stacked lobes: this is a symmetrical line of piercings on the earlobe - again, the jewelry pieces are matched, but don't have to look the same.

Another ear piercing trend 2022 is called exactly the same as a popular lip piercing: snakebites on the ear. These are two piercing holes that are pierced close together on the outer cartilage of the middle ear. Therefore, these piercings are reminiscent of a snake bite. After famous models presented this trend piercing, the request is growing rapidly.

An old acquaintance from 2021 remains absolutely in demand in 2022: the orbital piercing on the ear. The name says only that it is two piercing holes in the vicinity, which are connected by a ring. This piercing can be placed at any desired location on the ear, or you can also turn two piercing holes that are close to each other with a ring into an orbital piercing.

New as a piercing trend 2022 is the Flat Helix Piercing through the ear, but it does not run through the edge of the ear, but through the flat part in the upper half of the ear. There are no specifications as to where exactly the piercing sits in this area and whether it should remain alone or have several flats appear side by side.

Also piercing trend 2022 remain two old acquaintances: the Conch Piercing in the middle of the ear, it goes through the outer cartilaginous rim and can also be faked through Ear Cuffs. Here, the demand is currently increasing among men as well. And the Tragus Piercing, it goes through the small cartilage part of the ear, which covers part of the ear canal on the side of the face. The tragus piercing is often also part of a curated ear.
