This tribal tunnel features a dark brown and brown wood grain and is hand-carved from sonowood. Its shape is concave on the sides, while the front and back have only a narrow, slightly upward-curving rim. This shape, known as double-flared, ensures a secure fit in the piercing channel. Organic materials like wood guarantee a comfortable temperature while wearing. Additionally, wood allows the skin to breathe, thus reducing odor. As a precaution, narrow wooden tunnels should be removed overnight or during sports activities to prevent breakage.
