This tribal wooden plug is made of sonowood with its typical brown grain and features a raised white bone inlay on the flat front. This inlay depicts a carved owl perched on a branch. The plug is shaped so that the underside curves slightly outwards, while the sides curve inwards. This shape, called double-flared, ensures a secure fit in the piercing channel. The three-dimensional owl is made of bone, which we source from farmers who use it as a byproduct – no animal dies for our jewelry. Bone and wood allow the skin to breathe, preventing unpleasant odors, and the ear plugs are also much lighter than those made of metal. We offer the owl flesh plugs in various sizes such as 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 25mm, 26mm, 28mm and 30mm; the lobe piercings shown online are available.
