Starfish earring, with turquoise resin, silver setting, approx. 15 mm diameter. The so-called Shiva eye shell is actually the protective door of a special type of shellfish called the turban snail, which is found in tropical seas. At the end of the turban snail's life, the door detaches, revealing the beautiful spiral pattern on the inside, which gives the shell its name, Shiva eye. On the outside, a remarkable array of green and brown colors is revealed. From shell to shell, the colors blend in various variations.
