The plug is hand-carved from dark brown, grained tamarind wood. Its top and bottom are flat, while the sides curve slightly inwards; this is called double flare and ensures a secure fit in the piercing channel. On the front is a carved inlay of light wood, depicting the Om symbol within an ornamental frame. Due to the natural material, grain and color may vary slightly from the photo, and a size difference of approximately 1 mm should be expected, as this is a handmade item.
