The Tribal Spiral Hook Piercing is intricately hand-carved and delicately crafted from mother-of-pearl shell. This expander is available in a 2 mm diameter, features a unique spiral hook shape, and is worn as an earring dangle. The shell stretcher spiral is hand-carved from organic mother-of-pearl, and therefore never looks exactly the same, shimmering in white, yellow, brown, and even gray. Because the spiral is hand-carved, the dimensions of the piercing may vary by +/- 1 mm from the stated size. These slight variations in size and color are normal for organic natural products. The images show possible color variations. The shape is a hook with a point and two spiral ends. The organic material allows the skin to breathe, preventing unpleasant odors. Contact with water is not a problem; however, hook piercings should not be worn overnight, as the shell material is more prone to breakage.
