This carved olive wood expander is handcrafted from naturally grained, light brown wood. It's shaped like a hoop, a type of stretching spiral, but designed as an expander for ears stretched to at least 16mm. The lobe piercing is round with a small, round hole at the top and a slit extending outwards. The wooden expander is threaded through the stretched earlobe and then hooked in place like an earring. This hooking mechanism ensures the hoop stays in place even with stretches larger than 16mm. The wooden expander is handcrafted from real wood, so variations in color and grain are possible. The size may also vary slightly, as each piercing is a unique, handcrafted piece, and nature is never identical! We sell the piercing hooks individually, as many customers wear them alone or in pairs. Please do not wear organic wooden stretching rods, spirals, and tapers while showering, bathing, or in the sauna; protect them well from water.
