These square, 8mm lightweight stud earrings are made of stainless steel, which is coated with an extremely hard metal layer and a gold layer using PVD plating. Ion plating is a plasma-assisted, vacuum-based application of a higher-grade metal layer (in this case, gold) using ion bombardment. The gold-plated studs feature a malachite inlay (with a typical striped grain in dark green, turquoise, and green) and are available in either a square or hexagonal honeycomb shape.
