The Hook ear weights are artfully crafted from silver stainless steel and iridescent paua shell. The piercings are inserted into stretched earlobes (4mm, 6mm, 8mm or larger) like a spiral. The shape is a spirally twisted hook that sits like a plug in the earlobe or is hung in a tunnel. These ear weights are sold individually; for a pair, please order two Abalone Hooks. The Tree of Life ear weights are suitable for the specified size or larger stretched earlobes, as their weight allows them to be inserted and held securely in place. A large teardrop dangles from beneath the spiral hook. The front is made of diamond-shaped pieces of paua abalone shell, while the back is made of white mother-of-pearl. The teardrop is wrapped with thin silver wire, fitting snugly at the top of the teardrop and branching out at the bottom in the shape of a tree with branching limbs – the Tree of Life.
