This ear piercing weight is shaped like a flesh tunnel with a wide, convex, domed rim. The rim is partially black oxidized and antique-style decorated with a dotted pattern and a beaded edge. Attached to this is a crossbar that runs underneath the ear weight; this crossbar is the actual weight. The bar is adorned with brass rings and beaded strands. The tunnel itself is not very large in diameter, approximately 14mm. However, to insert it into the earlobe, the crossbar must be threaded through the piercing channel, and for this, your ear should be stretched to at least 25mm. Since the ear weight weighs around 46g, it will stay in place even if your earlobe is stretched slightly larger than 25mm. This piercing can be worn by men and women, either individually or as a pair of earrings, and complements tribal, ethnic, Celtic, Nordic, vintage, medieval, and Viking styles.
