These antique gold-tone stud earrings are made of brass and feature floral motifs. Some are darkly oxidized. The ear-jacket earrings are sold in pairs. The earrings consist of three parts: the backs, the actual earrings with flowers to which the posts are attached, and a pendant between the back and post. This pendant initially hangs straight down (with three adjustable lengths) and then curves forward in a semi-spherical shape, culminating in a flower. This pendant is removable, allowing for several variations: as an ear-jacket, one flower sits in front of the earlobe, the other below, as is typical with double stud earrings; or the entire antique gold-tone flower can be worn as a stud earring without the pendant. This 2-in-1 interchangeable feature makes these earrings very versatile. Both flowers are composed of circles and dots. The stud flower is made entirely of gold-tone brass, while the pendant flower features a gemstone bead in its center, either marbled turquoise or black onyx. To ensure the double earring has the correct length and fits the earlobe, the pendant has three different openings through which the stud can be threaded, making each earring slightly adjustable.
