This dark brown earring is shaped like an inverted teardrop. A circle is cut out at the top, and a stainless steel post sits above it. Below, a straight slit runs to the end of the teardrop, so that the circle and slit form the shape of a keyhole. The entire teardrop measures approximately 50mm in length and 35mm in width. This earring stretcher is made of dark brown wood and a stainless steel post. Thanks to the post, the patterned earring fits through any standard ear piercing without needing to be stretched – yet it looks like a teardrop stretcher. Once the piercing is in place, the post is no longer visible, and it looks like you're wearing a real stretcher, a batik Bali teardrop piercing – all without any stretching. Therefore, such earrings are called fake piercings – they create the impression of a pierced and stretched ear with a Bali expander, but they are simply regular earrings, comparable to stud earrings, which also require a post to pass through the earlobe.
