This Poor Man's Hand, crafted from antique gold brass, is see-through in many places. It is decorated with stones or strips of enamel set in brass; the rest consists of brass lines that divide the hand into fingers and the upper half. In the center is an oval, domed, dark turquoise stone surrounded by a fluted brass rim. Directly above it is a round, domed, pink stone with a fluted rim, forming the center of a sun. The rays are small enamel strips in dark red, pink, rose, and various shades of blue. The outer fingers are adorned with four small, faceted round stones in different colors and brass spirals. The three long fingers point straight down and each bears a small, round, faceted stone in a multicolored hue at the top and bottom, with a longer enamel strip between them. The enamel on the middle finger is pink, while on the other two it is dark blue. These vertical enamel strips are connected by horizontal brass lines.
