This dark-grained owl plug features the striped grain typical of Sonoholz. Each ear plug is handcrafted entirely from natural materials, including wood and mother-of-pearl shell. This makes each plug unique, as the grain and/or color can vary slightly with each shell and piece of wood. Furthermore, the owl is hand-carved, so no two are ever exactly alike.
The Sonoholz plug is comfortable to wear thanks to its smooth surface. On the front is a round inlay of mother-of-pearl shell, which can range in color from iridescent white to slightly yellowish. An owl with feathers, eyes, and a beak is carved into this mother-of-pearl. The back of the plug is slightly curved outwards, while the sides curve slightly inwards, ensuring a secure fit in the piercing channel.
