This hand-carved tribal wooden plug is crafted from dark brown, naturally grained sonowood and features a resin inlay on the front that resembles a turquoise stone. The inlay is carved in a pattern of numerous spiral arcs, culminating in a point at the top and surrounded by a rounded rim. The wooden plug is slightly flared outwards on the front and back, while the sides curve slightly inwards. The back is uninlaid. The double-flared plug shape keeps the stretcher securely in the ear. It is smoothly finished, lightweight, and adapts to body temperature, allowing the skin to breathe. The resin is modeled after genuine turquoise, meaning that, like real sonowood, no two pieces are exactly alike, and slight variations in grain and color may occur. Since the plugs are hand-carved, slight variations in shape and size may also occur – each flesh tunnel is unique. The expander is available in sizes such as 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 24mm, 28mm and 30mm. The exact available sizes are displayed online.
