The Tribal Wing Hook Piercing is intricately hand-carved from mother-of-pearl shell. This expander is available in a 2 mm diameter, features a unique wing hook shape, and is worn as a dangle earring. The shell stretcher is carved from organic mother-of-pearl, a natural product with a unique appearance that varies in color, shimmering white, yellow, brown, and even gray, red, and green. Because the hook spiral is hand-carved, the dimensions of the piercing may differ by +/- 1 mm from the stated size. These slight variations in size and color are normal for organic piercings. The images show possible color variations. The shape is a hook with an elongated wing-like form that ends in two spirals. The organic material allows the skin on the ear to breathe, preventing unpleasant odors. Water contact is not a problem; however, wing piercings should not be worn overnight, as shell is more prone to breakage.
