The tribal piercing is delicately hand-carved from shimmering mother-of-pearl shell. This expander is available in 2 mm or 3 mm diameters, depending on the variation. It features a unique hook shape and is worn as an earring dangle. The shell stretcher is made of organic mother-of-pearl and, as a natural product, never looks exactly the same. Because the spiral is hand-carved, the dimensions of the piercing may vary by +/- 1 mm from the stated size. The images show possible color combinations of the piercings, ranging from white and yellow to brown and gray. Variations in size and color are normal for organic piercings. The organic material allows the skin in the piercing channel to breathe, preventing odor buildup. Water contact is not a problem with shell; however, these spiral piercings should not be worn overnight, as shell is more prone to breakage.
