This carved, almond-shaped olive wood expander is handcrafted from naturally grained, light brown wood. The piercing is a stretching spiral, more precisely a hoop shape, essentially a creole, but designed as an expander for ears stretched to at least 14mm. The lobe piercing is almond-shaped with a slit on the side; the wooden expander is threaded through the stretched earlobe and then hooked in place like an earring. This hooking mechanism ensures the hoop stays in place even with ears stretched larger than 14mm. The wooden expander is handcrafted from real wood, so variations in color and grain are possible, and the size may also vary slightly, as each piercing is a unique, handcrafted piece, and nature is never identical! We sell the 65mm long piercing hooks individually, as many customers wear them alone or in pairs. Please do not wear organic wooden stretching rods, spirals, and tapers while showering, bathing, or in the sauna; protect them well from water. The almond shape features an edge on both sides that runs down the middle.
