These iridescent paua lobes are ear stretching spirals in a hook shape, meaning they begin as a spirally twisted hook from which dangles the motif of a cow's or ram's head. The cow has a muzzle, ears, and ram's horns (strongly curved). Instead of a forehead, this part is essentially cut off and features an inlay of iridescent paua mother-of-pearl shell in the shape of an inverted teardrop. This inlay is colorful, primarily featuring blue, green, yellow, pink, gray, and purple. Each abalone stretcher is natural and unique, similar to the photo but not identical. This is the charm of natural products; each hook is a small, one-of-a-kind piece. The silver stretching spirals measure approximately 50mm (head including loop and excluding hook), weigh about 29g to 47g (depending on size), and fit ear piercings stretched to at least 4mm. For ears that are stretched more extensively, the large 10mm expanders also stay in place due to their weight.
