This reddish-brown wooden plug is hand-carved and engraved. Its shape is called double-flared, meaning the Viking plug curves concavely inwards when viewed from the side. The front and back, however, are slightly convex. The front of the plug features a round, engraved pattern of the Viking compass, Vegvisir. The pattern is raised, while the background is lower, darker, and rougher. Due to the natural material, color and grain may vary slightly from the photo. A minimal difference in size and shape should also be expected, as these Vegvisir plugs are hand-carved. Each Viking plug is therefore unique.
